Rape & The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo →
eredit:

But in reality, rapists aren’t always the kind of person who gives you the creeps when you look at them. Sometimes rapists are attractive, or wealthy, or charming. Sometimes they are trusted friends. If this film...

what's ur damage?: Unpopular Opinion? →
I totally get the not liking partner thing, but I used it for Michael and me once we had been together for a while — I guess the problem was that we seemed like we were beyond boyfriend and girlfriend (for some reason this connotes less of a commitment to me — maybe that’s just my hang up), but we weren’t engaged or legally married. And significant other just seemed a...

“OF all the places I felt sure I’d never go, Planned Parenthood topped the list. Because, you know, they perform abortions and give condoms to kids, or so I’d been warned. Yet one spring afternoon found me in its waiting room next to a teenage girl, who was clearly perplexed by the intake form and likely bound for an uncomfortable, humiliating four minutes in the back of a borrowed Chevy...

“It started 13 years ago, when someone said to Clay Logan, owner of Brasstown’s only gas station and vendor of kitschy possum products, ‘If New York City can drop a ball, why can’t we drop a possum?’
“Mr. Logan could think of no reason why not.”

“Arkansas game officials hope testing scheduled to begin Monday will solve the mystery of why up to 5,000 birds fell from the sky just before midnight New Year’s Eve.
“The birds — most of which were dead — were red-winged blackbirds and starlings, and they were found within a one-mile area of Beebe, about 40 miles northeast of Little Rock, the Arkansas Game and Fish...
